I have been pigging out for the past few weeks. I blame this all to my brother who came to Sydney just to eat. Yes, it is all his fault. Anyway, still in the path to overeat our weights we tried The Grange buffet in Kogarah.
My my Kogarah is truly a haven for all-you-can-eat restaurants. This suburb continuous to surprise me. I wonder what I will discover next.
The Grange Buffet is in the second level of St. George Leagues Club. An usher will welcome you once you are inside the beautiful building. The restaurant is also next to a yum cha restaurant which I think should be in my to try list. Lunch buffet price is $17.50 for adults and non-members. Kids price differ according to age. The view of the restaurant from the doorway is very cosy. Red lanterns hang along the center of the area. then buffet tables are arranged at the end of the hall.
After paying we were ushered to out table and the inspection begins. We surveyed the food before taking our plates. Not much on the other meat but plenty seafood. That explains why there is a white bowl in each table. It is for the shells and other rubbish. It is actually nice that they provide those bowls. Cleaning up won’t be a problem.
The food was not really that good. Ordinary and unappetizing. The fried items were are “meh.” Even the noodles were bland. I guess the beef roast was the highlight and the only thing I enjoyed the entire meal. Oh and the fruits were fresh. Pavlova was too sweet.
No wonder the place is not packed considering it was a Saturday. There is not much that you’d want to come back and eat again.
